Reducing greening in Potatoes

The B-hive team supported Branston Ltd in delivering this project funded by Innovate UK and BBSRC.

This project brought together partners that span the food chain from production, through packing, to major supermarkets who worked with academic researchers to develop solutions to reduce tuber greening. The results of this feasibility study are providing the foundations of a longer term strategy to produce potatoes with reduced levels of greening.
